Hedgebrook Collaborations

Hedgebrook Collaborations are alum-organized projects, supported by a small stipend from Hedgebrook, that utilize the elements of radical hospitality in pursuit of equal voice for women writers across all genres. Collaborations help support “Women Authoring Change” once they’ve returned home!

Our goal is to help seed projects around the world that will increase the collective impact of women writers who seek to “author change”. We want to spread Hedgebrook’s model of radical hospitality to writers and readers in your local communities, and to foster regional support systems for women writers. In other words, we hope that “what is modeled at Hedgebrook doesn’t stay at Hedgebrook”! As an alumna, you have the magic recipe of radical hospitality, and with your help we proud to expand Hedgebrook Collaborations around our nation and our world.

Hedgebrook Collaborations gatherings champion:

  • diversity and equity
  • mutual investment
  • trust
  • support
  • momentum
  • shared food & good conversation!

Consider a Hedgebrook Collaboration with a theme… We love to see projects that feature marginalized voices on timely topics. Stipends are between $50 and $500, depending on the scope of your plan.
