LIBRARY

The Hedgebrook Alumnae library is filled to overflowing with over 700 books, plays, chapbooks and screenplays written by Hedgebrook alumnae.  We also have a range of films, documentaries and music CDs by Hedgebrook alumnae.

The Hedgebrook library includes signed first editions written by our alumnae. Residents are encouraged to donate their published work to the library. The sheer number, quality and range of genres and media illustrates the myriad ways that Hedgebrook alumnae are authoring change in the world.

The resident writers may borrow materials from the alumnae library, the recreational library, or the research & writing library during their stay.   A catalog of the collection is under development.  Donations of books on the craft of writing or the writing life are always welcome.
