SPECIAL INITIATIVES

Hedgebrook’s Special Initiatives, focused on a particular issue or genre, often combine a residency component with public events. This emphasis on public programming furthers our mission to connect Hedgebrook writers with readers and audiences. The content of these programs is designed to foster critical thinking, civic engagement, and a context for community dialogue. All programs are produced in collaboration with community partners - expanding our outreach locally, nationally and internationally.
