Jenny Goff

Jenny grew up in San Diego, a dancer and theater geek. She attended NYU's Tisch School of the Arts for acting, dropped out to travel the world before returning to graduate with deep gratitude for education. Instead of using her theater degree, Jenny started sailing the oceans blue with her then-partner and lived, worked, and played on boats ranging from her own 32-ft sloop to a 189 ft mega-yacht for nearly 15 years. She learned to cook on the diagonal and has subsequently transferred that knowledge to land. Jenny now lives on a farm with her husband and two daughters, where they raise animals and grow vegetables to supply their community's cooking and eating habits as well as their own. Jenny is deeply passionate about how well-raised food affects our bodies and is happy to be sharing her love of good food with the writers at Hedgebrook.
