BIO: Tina is first generation Taiwanese American. She was born in Dallas, TX but raised in the Lower East Side and Chinatown of New York City. She attended Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts. She then went to Playwrights Horizons Theatre School at Tisch School of the Arts at New York University where she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts focused in acting, directing and design. After a few years working in theatre in San Francisco, she was lead to Los Angeles due to her blossoming television and film career. Her television credits include: Arrow (CW), Rizzoli & Isles (TNT), The Night Shift (NBC), Shameless (Showtime), Hollywood Heights (Nickelodeon), and The Office (NBC). Tina is currently co-artistic director of Ammunition Theatre company whose mission is to tell underrepresented stories and to engage in social activism with community organizations. She was honored to be a 2018 Hedgebrook Screenwriter’s Lab Fellow and recently directed the music video for Icarus + Verbal’s BENDER . Tina is excited to have co-founded 1:1 Productions, LLC. (1to1productions.com) with Karla Mosley in 2016 and feels lucky to have had this amazing team of collaborators make a very personal story come to life for which she won the “Best Performance” award at the TIDE film festival 2018.
