annabelle settled on Whidbey Island in 2017 still commuting to SeaTac while working for Alaska Airlines, until the pandemic hit. After 18 days of 'retirement' she joined the team of a new scratch kitchen in Langley. Migrating from barista to prep cook, she is delighted to now join Hedgebrook, foster new culinary skills, and be surrounded by a community of compassion and hospitality.
In the meager downtime she can afford, you can find annabelle digging in the dirt, building chicken coops, foraging, salmon fishing, crabbing, or slowing walking her two unemployed pitbulls.
