Lisa Siders Kenney

Business & Operations Director

Lisa is an accomplished artist with an impressive list of exhibitions, awards and fellowships under her belt. Her creative practice spans multimedia installations, ceramics and fiber arts. She often collaborates with local artist collectives, telling stories set in landscape and time. Her most recent collaboration was called Maidens of the Cosmic Body Running, combining themes of nature, loss and longing. We are excited to see what she does next.

Since receiving her MFA in sculpture, Lisa has worked in the arts organization and education space, including as an adjunct professor at Claremont College in Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky University.

Though she has always advocated for the rights of women and the under-heard, her activism became a prominent theme in her life and work when her thirteen year old daughter was murdered in 2009.

We at Hedgebrook are honored to work with such a gentle soul and protective mentor. Her experience, both professionally and personally reminds us all, on a daily basis, to be kind and gentle to one another. Her wisdom is indispensable.

She is our Operations and Business Director, meaning she keeps everything humming along. Although she has a lofty title, don’t be surprised to see her scooting around the land on the golf cart and picking weeds.
