When Patricia was only five, the postman accidentally delivered the neighbors package to her door. Thinking it was hers, she ripped it open and discovered the world of Doctor Suess and the incomparable Cat in the Hat. It was a revelation that left her hyperventilating in excitement. When she recovered from the trauma of giving the book back to her neighbor, Patricia vowed that one day, she would find her people, the people with all the words and big imaginations. 

That search led her to cities like New York and Rome where she worked as a graphic designer and studied fresco painting. Covid brought her to Whidbey Island where she found her people at Hedgebrook. 

When she is not working and driving the golf cart, Patricia can be found painting in her studio and playing with her dog on the beach.
